Shell and grass prints

I changed the background area of the shell plate to create a more interesting print, although the singular shell worked well it was in my opinion a tad boring. In keeping with the delicate nature and feel of the original, grasses seemed like a good addition as the spindly foliage would not detract from the shell. Created these prints using chine collé and individually coloured areas. The chine collé print was created with a larger piece of tissue paper covered lightly in adhesive which was placed over the plate, the paper was placed on top of this and then put through the press. Whilst this works the excess paper needs to be removed at a later date.
