Coffee and Acrylic….

After I had created different concentrations of acid, I brushed these onto the plate in certain areas such as the petals to create sort of watercolor effect with a lot more tone, this helped bring form to the flowers and background areas. Printing this piece was easy, it did not present any difficulties and the only hiccup I had was not turning on the hot plate making it very difficult to get the ink of the plate before placing it on the press. I have created this print in a variety of different colours although I am only showing it in black and a beautiful rich magenta colour that was hiding behind the other tins which immediately caught my eye. These turned out so well and I am hoping to start at Etsy shop to possibly sell some of these to ‘reclaim’ some of the money spent creating this edition! Exciting times !
